Lunar Drift captures both the celestial aspect of the moon, along with the graceful movement and otherworldly charm of the jellyfish. Created primarily using iridescent glass for the jelly fish, the background water and ocean bottom gives the piece a feeling of the underwater nature of jellyfish. Pink glass spheres represent other moon jellyfish in the waters nearby. The clear colored glass for the seaweed further evokes the magical feeling of the underwater world. Actual seashells and some silver beads complete the piece. Measures 6 inches x 6 inches x approimately 1 inch deep.
This piece was exhibited in the 100 Moments in Mosaic annual exhibition by the Society of American Mosaic Artists in 2024.
